Mountain Bike Race
Thin or chubby, short or tall, mountain bike race knows no discrimination as long as your feet can reach the pedal and move with it through the 360 degrees chain path, then you are up for an adrenalin rush. Mountain bike race is more of a fun sport rather than competition-oriented. The competition part of it is just but an element of surprise meant to keep racers focused on the goal; anyway who would bother to go burn his/her fat without a bait for the worthy course? No one, right? Below is a synopsis of basic necessities and tactics to set the right ambiance for the race.
Mountain Bike Race – Wear a smile all the way
Adventure comes with fun, and that’s the motive behind mountain bike racing. Imagine maneuvering through the new terrain as you observe others dwindle in the mud or the dry mountainous dirt. This reasoning only will bring out the oomph and thrill of wanting to be a part of the entourage. To bring out more fun, it would be better off to find people with similar characters. For instance, choose the mountain bike race that has your skill level, age, weight and gender so that you ride against people of the same caliber. With that in mind, everything will be fun filled knowing most of your opponents have same level of weaknesses and strengths.
Mountain Bike Race – Be well equipped
Is your ride ready? Do you have protective gear? Is your water cold enough and fixed at a convenient place? Are your pants tight enough? All this are small plans to make you less resistance to the environment. Tight pants are a must to ensure your body is streamlined and less resistant to the wind when going downhill. A water bottle is handy whether the weather is hot or cold, it simply keeps you relinquished. If energy drinks aren’t restricted then one won’t harm to revitalize back the power.
The mountain bike is part of you as well and as a measure you should check all parts are oiled and working at optimum. Check tire pressure, the brakes should work upon a gentle press, if not replace them. Though it is advised to have a full functional suspension for the bike to help cushions the falls, it makes the bike heavier which is a drawback in regards to speed. So, a light framed bike is more likely to be efficient than a one embraced with heavy suspension, but again it depends with the type of racing which we will briefly take a glimpse at.
Mountain Bike Race – Types of Mountain bike racing
Mountain bike race will be harder as the price gets bigger. The most popular kind of race is the Cross-country that contains obstacles set on a pre-constructed track. It involves a crowd of riders and to stand out, a simple less detailed bike will ensure this.
Hill climb race is one I consider alluring; here the first rider to reach the top of a mountain or small hill takes the crown. It is more muscular intensive and will require a light bike. Winning can also be measured by the fastest rider who reaches downhill the first; a bike with good suspension and high response brakes would be a spur. Whatever the terrain is, make sure the aforementioned are in place and winning will be just an icing on the cake for the mountain bike race.
